Australian Plug Sockets
Not sure if this is in the right forum but anyway, my girlfriend is going to Australia so she wants to know if she gets a plug socket adaptor and uses the mains charger thing for her iPod will it work? Or do they have different voltage or...you know, i`m not too sure how it all works, anyway, many thanks!
Hope that makes sense to someone

Look on the plug if has 110 - 220V 50\60Hz on the label\embossed on it then its fine for worldwide use.
Offhand I don`t know the supply Voltage for Australia, but would guess at 110V.
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

Voltage is the same as here, but the plug/socket thingies are a different shape.
Australia 240 V 50 Hz

RE: Australian Plug Sockets
don`t worry if you can`t find an adaptor that resembles the diagram above, you`ll find that most flat pin adaptors ( ¦ ¦ ) can be swivelled slightly ( / \ ). There`s no need for the earth pin, as you`ll find most rechargable electronic goods have plastic earth pins anyway. Recharged my camcorder out there for a month, so an iPod should be no bother
