IT Crowd

Until next Friday your TV and watch the first episode of the IT Crowd online instead, at www.channel4.com/itcrowd. You can watch this eagerly anticipated comedy online, at anytime, so log on now!

Immerse yourself in the world of Jen, Roy and Moss and discover the thrills of running an I.T. Helpdesk, the excitement of working in a dingy basement, the bitter recriminations of a drunken weekend in Amsterdam, and the sheer terror of meeting Denholm, Reynholm Industries psychotic MD.

Fortunately its nothing like real life in a IT department, so the users won`t know what really we get up to with their machines. SPOILER:
We used to deliberately remove PC`s from the network, make little changes to the boot.ini file machines, read personal doc`s & check for interesting picturerrrr I mean content that was inapprioprate to be stored on company PC`s.

I thought the dark dingey basement with old machine parts scattered around the room in cages was pretty accurate. Reminds me of a few depressing places I had to go to in London.
SPOILER:

I once found animal porn on the network at a company we both know very well while we were doing a network migration to the new HQ :-O

That part was very accurate. I was hoping for more of a BOFH & PFY type of of sitcom.

Yeah, enjoyed the first episode, but we need to see where they are going to go with it. I agree that more BOFH type story lines would be good. The power button lines bought back horrible memories of working on the Helldesk!
Quick reminder that it shows on C4 tonight at 9.00 (I think), and a double episode? Or you can watch it on C4s website now:

Watched the first episode online, but I was pretty underwhelmed. Some of it was funny (the way in which they answered the phones was quite amusing), but unfortunately the industry is no longer like that. Bloody SLAs... Having said that I`ve just come back from a 2 1/2 hour `lunch` at the pub :)

The second one was funnier than the first, unfortunately its all rather "Father Ted" (same writer) for me (another program I never watched nor contemplate ever doing so).

It should have been BOFH meets Drop The Dead Donkey.

Never seen a full episode of it & after one of the kids made a association with one of the characters & me don`t intend to have it repeated..
