BBC Waste £36 million licence payers money , Sunday Express had to use The Freedom Of Information Ac

BBC Waste £36 million licence payers money , Sunday Express had to use The Freedom Of Information Act to get info.

I for one am fed up of paying for a licence for nothing more then braindead programmes. According to Mark Thompson Director-General of the BBC, the licence payer is very happy with what the BBC Broadcast, also he goes on to say that us, the viewers. will be happy to pay a licence fee of £180.00, and the BBC only had 50 phone calls out of 25million households, complaining at the proposed £180.00 fee.

Is it me or can anyone else smell bull***t, i for one am fed up of the nauseating programmes they show, i was thinking of writing to Nadia Sawalha who presents Living in the sun, to ask if she feels guilty for taking the the licence payers money.

And it gets worse, yes the BBC has gone down the ITV route, Beat The Bailiff with another presenter who will do anything for money, Lorne spicer.

How about we do a dvd.reviewer poll, who like me, thinks BBC Director-General Mark Thompson and Deputy Director-General Mark Byford, should go and f*** themselves!!!!

Do anyone know the BBC link where you terminate your licence, and they send someone round to check you your not veiwing tv pogrammes.

How? You say this in the subject and the body but you don`t explain how they wasted it. I don`t read the Express.

I don`t like the sound of £180 (a big jump and I hadn`t heard this figure before), but I do support the Beeb and the need for the licence fee.

I couldn`t care less what s*** they put on in the mornings - *somebody* watches and enjoys it; I don`t expect their output to be aimed directly at me.

Well said XFG. It seems that these days everybody thinks that they are the only ones that matter - if they aren`t interested in football then it is disgusting that the bbc spends money on it etc. I can`t stand costume dramas, but i know a lot of people like them, and i don`t complain at the millions the beeb spend making them.

I am happy to pay the licence fee, it is still less than sky charge me, and i watch far more bbc than i do sky one etc. Plus i am always using the bbc news site, which is also funded from the licence fee.

People should quit moaning >:(

BigmanInc stop moaning about people moaning >:( ;)

i still think it`s a crime that the license fee is so high. & it wouldn`t bother me one little bit if the beeb was dismantled tomorrow, but it`s pointless arguing about it Again, it resolves nothing.

This is one of probably 3 programmes we watch on BBC. The other being, `Life on Mars`, `Judge John Deed` & `Living in The Sun`. We used to live in Spain & are planning to buy over there again so the programme is interesting in helping us look at areas we don`t know & the way ex pats make or brake it over there. May there be more like this.

I`m more upset about the amount of taxes this Government wastes and how they now appear to be making up any shortfall in NHS funding by raiding the National Lottery. But hey, each to their own...

BBC offer a good variety of programming without the need for blinkin` adverts.

Their coverage of the snooker last night was great. If this had been peppered with adverts between each frame, I probably would have switched off..

Commercial TV has had such a success rate with other stuff.. Let`s see. LOST. A great show, but viewing figures plummetted and the advertising watchdog was brought in to regulate the amount of adverts during the programme. And as for the 118118 boys. :/

I know this isn`t comprehensive arguement, just two points that spring to mind.

As for the work that the BBC has done for digital terrestrial, well, Freeview speaks for itself.

The BBC website and radio stations are usually ignored in the licence fee arguments but are both fantastic.

Another quick one. Murdoch has given an exclusive interview to The BBC about why he is still backing Labour. Now you have to ask, he owns news stations and wanted to get his view out to the most people. So of course you go to your main competeter (sp) don`t you? Even Murdoch knows the score.

All the best,

It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....

But they asked him about labour unless you are suggesting that the wonderfull independent BBC were told what questions to ask him in the interview. :/

Also on my TV the BBC show adverts often advertising up to four TV /Radio programmes between programmes, not quite the same as ITV but an advert is a advert. :)

Also they often split a film in two and insert the the news in the middle and you have to wait a good 35 -40 mins for the film to resart, ITV I can understand but not the BBC . :/
