Pretty boring overall

what about dare I say it Serenity, King Kong?? Anything else that I haven`t seen

What about Battlestar Galactica -one of the best shows on the telly?? What about William Shatner in Boston Legal?

Oh yawn a gay cowboy movie didn`t we already have one of those-what`s the big deal?
Is there a big green cowboy in it?

..apparently it`s more of a gay shepherd movie, or so I`ve heard, and speaking as a Welshman....well, perhaps I had better not go there :-)....anyway, one thing which has struck me, and that`s the almost complete lack of recognition for Jonathan Rhys Meyers who won a Globe for some mini-series or other.

oh yes, and I think your link`s changed Sue, cos I can`t get anywhere with what you posted.

That`s weird it is the same page but you can`t bounce from here
fixed it-had nulled it by mistake(?)

Yes I wondered what had happened to Myers-he done good but the BBC ignored him-must be on their blacklist since Ghormengastly

From what I`ve seen, I think that the Awards were pretty fair - I saw Brokeback Mountain this morning and have to say that it`s worthy of every nomination and award it receives. I would have liked to have seen Viggo Mortensen get the nod for the Best Actor Globe for the great performance he put in on A History of Violence but there`s always the Oscars (but then it generally seems that the Academy do more to prove they know f*** all about films with every passing year!).

It`s good to see Hugh Laurie getting an award for the excellent House series. One of my favourite shows on at the minute. Well it will be when the new series starts on Thurs.

Well done to Hugh Laurie, well deserved as he really makes the show (along with the dialogue) cos lets face it, the disease of the week format gets pretty tired without the spark he provides.

Was horrified to see Geena Davis got Best Actress in a Drama series for Commander-in-Chief. Watched the first 3 or 4 and kept waiting for it to show some, subtlety, complexity or surprise me in any way and it just didn`t, and her performance was as poor as the rest. West Wing as it would be made by ITV. Horrible.

Yes, glad HL got it.

Don`t really care about any of the others.

Ang Lee. I haven`t made it all the way through a single one of his films.

Well, Ang Lee did do "Hulk", so who knows....? ;)

And I definitely agree about "Battlestar Galactica" - should have won hands down.... :(

Ang Lee is tipped for the best director Oscar - and also, Hulk`s Eric Bana is hotly tipped for a best actor nomination. I can just see the headlines the next day: "HULK SMASH puny Oscars!!" :)

Ok, maybe not....
