Theatre plaques

Is it only me or does anyone else have this irrational, geeky urge to buy the official DTS and Dolby Digital theatre/theater plaques? Am I just really, really sad?

I have both,my Dolby one is even "Dolby Digital Surround Ex Installed in this Home Theatre".

Try these

www.dolby.com (go to the dolby store and select euro order form)
and www.dtsonline.com (again go to online store).

Although, ahem,it must be said i obtained mine through a friend who "worked in the UCI",i always wondered why i never saw any outside the auditoriums!

Be careful though,they`re quite pricey!
By the way how can this be sad when people collect train sets and watch soap operas?! Those two points alone are sadder then sad! There are dvds crying out to be watched and people vegetate in front of pants like Eastenders and Coronation Street!
Now thats sad... :-)

Also, be warned that in addition to being rather (read EXTREMELY) pricey, they are also a bit plasticky and cheap once you get your hands on them - you need to mount them somewhere where they will look nice and shiny from a distance, but you can`t get too close...

And there are people out there who watch FOOTBALL, for feck`s sake. How can you worry about a couple of theatre plaques with folk like that around? :-)

Seriously though, enjoy your hobbies and don`t let anyone tell you you`re obsessive. You can console yourself with the fact that they probably watch VHS tapes on a 21 inch TV with tinny little speaker, and will never know the ecstasy to be derived from having a Dolby Digital and DTS system in your own front room.

Now if you`ll excuse me, the 10.30 to Edinburgh is due to come past in a few minutes, so I have to find my notebook and pen :-)
