Has anyone done that race (8 miles cross-country with a lot of water apparently). I have entered it to raise money for a special needs school, and would not mind any tips about what gear to wear. Shall I go for the short and vest, get wet and be wet all the way or shall I wear something a bit warmer but stil get wet (I am thinking that the more clothes I will wear the heavier I will be).
Thanks for any tips
JC
not done it, but know the area... i suggest wear as little a spossible, as you will soon warm up!

RE: Grim Race - Aldershot
As a competion runner I would recommend the following:
1. A breathable running vest or T-Shirt and shorts (running ones would be recommended)
2. Warm- up thoughroughly before the cross- country with your trakcsuit on, and then take the tracksuit off and continue your warm- up as this should help to stop you becoming cold... Even if you are still cold at the start line I wouldn`t worry as you will warm up very quickly as Aldershot is quite a demanding course :D
All the best with the run and good luck :)
Ben
Thanks guys for the input. Ben have you done the Grim Race before?
