I have been offered the chance to to some teaching at the local secondary school here - whats it like in Newport? any locals in?
how do I get to the Bettws High school?

I taught in St Julian`s a while back...and then Llantarnam. Newport and the area can be a funny place to teach.

Lol , I read in a local rag a while back that bus drivers were threatening to refuse to drive through Bettws after dark as they kept getting stones thrown at them and lasers pointed in their eyes.

Isn`t that where Goldie Looking Chain come from :D

Goldie Looking chain are from all over newport. A couple of mates from shcool are in it. "Two Hats" and "Mike Balls"

I grew up in Newport, there are some nice areas, some not so nice...Bettws is one of the not so nice. I`m sure the School is not all bad though!
