Page 1 of Need help finding company details for copyright reasons.

Have used some short excerpts of music from an old CD for a DVD I am making, and want to get copyright clearance.

These are the details:

Composer: Michael Praetorius et al
Composition - various: Dances from Terpsichore
Conductor: Philip Pickett
Orchestra: New London Consort
CD issue date: 1990

I think this version was recorded in the 80`s, but it has been recorded by several different orchestras - the record label called could be `Regis` or possibly `Polygram`.

Can anyone help at all? :/

Are you going to sell the thing your making?

You could try the Musicians Union or the Perfoming Rights Society ( prs.co.uk ).
The PRS are really helpful getting money to the right place.

they may hold the licence for that track. Only looked quickly but i think they may do.

Sorry for the time taken to reply. Yes I will be selling it, hence that is why I am seeking copyright authorisation.
