A conspiracy theory for intelligent people
Okay, putting aside the extremely lame and dumb conspiracy theories that the easily lead believe in, here is one for the smarter amongst us which have nothing to do with aliens or faking moon landings:
George Bush, president of the worlds biggest polluting country, is avoiding the issue of global warming:

The United States refuses to sign up to an international agreement designed to enforce a ban on the use of biological weapons:

Is he a puppet of industry? Does his religious beliefs mean he *wants* to take the world towards the apocalypse asap? Just why would the US not want to agree to a ban on germ warfare?
RE: A conspiracy theory for intelligent people
The thread title is potentially the biggesst oxymoron i`ve ever encountered! ;-)
RE: A conspiracy theory for intelligent people
you now need to explain what an oxymoron is for the uninitiated....... ;-)
RE: A conspiracy theory for intelligent people
I wouldn`t call this a conspiracy.
The US will never cave in on pollution - they killed 000,000`s of Iraqi`s just so they wouldn`t have to pay an extra 10c on a gallon of gas (i.e. be held to ransom by Oil producing Arab nations).
The US will never stop testing biological weapons - as long as other nations continue to do so the US will maintain that it is in its interests to research antidotes to such weapons and keep its own stockpiles for retaliatory purposes.
RE: A conspiracy theory for intelligent people
The ban is on the use of, not experimentation with. Are they selling biological weapons to other countries? You have to wonder.
And with the resurrection of the Star Wars program, Bush has so far done nothing to help US relations with the remaining world, yet lots to harm it.
Personally I think America`s polution levels are so damaging to the ozone layer that we should declare war on them. A bit extreme maybe, but whether they kill us off with global warming or they kill us off with guns and bombs, ultimately what is the difference? :)
RE: A conspiracy theory for intelligent people
What do we expect from a guy with a sub 90 IQ? (oh my god, he`s the most powerful man in the world!!!)
An ecologist was on tv not long back and admitted we as humans technically only contribute 0.2% of harmful gases in the air - the rest is natural. However, he claimed this was enough to become an anarchist/anti-governmentalist for! What do u think.? I don`t really see the point.
I also though it was less than that (0.2%) but i`ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
RE: A conspiracy theory for intelligent people
For intelligent people???? Oh dear. RJS, I find it quite illuminating that you can believe USA are capable of all these underhand things, but rather get on your (very) high horse when someone even DARE suggest that the moon landings may have been fake. What does this tell us about your intelligence, I wonder?

RE: A conspiracy theory for intelligent people
In support of RJS (sic)
I find most intelligent people dont believe in conspiracy theories usually.
Eggheads and boffins and run-of-the-mill professional people think in rational ways but usually cant see the wood for the trees.
Its not intelligence thats lacking but something else.
(No not gullibility)
To lewjosh: We are the chosen ones. Were are Richard Dreyfuss with them mounds of mash potato. Nobody believed him either.
What a great film!
Anyway, enough from me on the prospects of extraterrestrial life.
Non believers find it boring!!! And we just find them plain silly.

RE: A conspiracy theory for intelligent people
I think it is fair to get on one`s high horse when people have given their lives to reach the moon, and then others belittle their achievements by saying it never happened.
Faking moon landings and conspiring with aliens is somewhat different to poluting the environment and indulging in biological weapons production...

"I think it is fair to get on one`s high horse when people have given their lives to reach the moon, and then others belittle their achievements by saying it never happened."
If you believe we went fair enough. If you dont then youre wont fall for this moral blackmail.
"Faking moon landings and conspiring with aliens is somewhat different to poluting the environment and indulging in biological weapons production..."
Its all part of the big lie. Same to me!
