the scene editing thing on MIB is cool. There is also one on die hard but i havent tried that yet. The documentaries on Vertical Limit were great, some of the best ever. The making of jaws rocked. I always look for deleted scenes and alternative endings as its always interesting to see what got cut. Die hard 3 alt end was interesting. The deep blue sea docs were also good. Ahhh i like to much stuff so im just going to shut up now!!!!!!!

The `before` and `after` remastering comparisons on the `Se7en` 2-disc go down as one of my favourites - fantastic stuff indeed.

And anything where Oliver Stone yacks away. The feature with `JFK` sees him at his feisty best, and again confirms my belief he is one of the best directors around, no matter how contraversial his subject matter. `Any Given Sunday` totally blew me away, even though I have no knowledge of American Football.

My favourite would be a good quality interview and you never seem to get any decent ones (Not R2 ones at least). You get promotional fluff and brief soundbites, but I`d love a good 30-minutes of worthwhile questions and full answers from those involved. If you`ve bought the DVD, chances are that you`re a fan of either the Director or a few of the stars anyway and therefore would be interested in what they have to say. When you get loads & loads of effects featurettes and story-board stuff, but NO feedback from the filmmakers or actors, It doesn`t pull me in the way that it should. Is anybody REALLY interested in the set-design/lighting or FX details? I`d much rather hear the "in-depth" views/opinions of the cast themselves.

Oops! got carried away there and forgot to mention my favourite one, which is the commentary track on League of Gentlemen. 3 enjoyable hours of insights and stories, Value for money I`d say!. I hope Fawlty Towers and Red Dwarf etc come with the same (fingers crossed extremely hard!).

I wouldn`t hold your breath, Tony.

The only reason the LoG disc was so brilliant was because the team were totally gobsmacked by the DVD format and went OTT to ensure that it was a feature-packed disc. They certainly didn`t disappoint.

I`d be nice to think that Cleese, Sachs, Scales and Booth gave some insightful commentaries or interviews on Fawlty Towers but I don`t reckon so. Hope I`m proved wrong.

Rumour has it that the region 1 Fawlty Towers will have commentary tracks - there`s been no word about the region 2 discs, other than the fact that they are coming.

I for one like the fx and behind the scene stuff. Well perhaps I should look for an `all effects` DVD with a compilation of `behind the scenes` from many great movies...

here`s my best of list...

spy who shagged me deleted scenes;makes me chuckle every time
superman, retropesctive documentary and director/screenwriter commentary-a fine movie given the treatment it deserves
the mummy;special fx breakdown
ghostbusters;commentary(with the directors on screen-fabulous)
Im not into extras much, but the ones above are the ones which stand out a mile in between all the useless promotional material which finds its way onto some discs.id much rather a few really good quality features instead of a whole discs worth of pointless babble!
