ok.. what crappy jobs has everyone had before their current one

I was professional DJ from the age of 16 (1987 - hung up turntables in 1998) .. worked as a civil servant at when I was 19 - 20... then various crappy temp jobs in between Djing and Studenting..

I did work for PC World for 6 months as a merchandiser in 1996.. officially the worst job i have ever had

Breathing in the hydrochloric acid fumes at a PCB factory when I was younger wasn`t great! Unfortunately (to my half eaten mind at the time) I thought the cash was great & stayed a lot longer than I should have!
One of my better jobs was as a porter in hotel in Harrogate. Used to love the freebies you`d get left as tips n` stuff when the exhibitions came to town! Used to free cigs courtesy of the Marlborough ladies (don`t smoke now though!) had a fair few headphones n stuff fromSennheisser(sp?) when the audio / video show was here, countless freebies from the Gift show & I didn`t tell my bosses at the time, but I would`ve worked for nothing to be at the beck & call of the models for the lingerie & bridal fairs back then!

I can feel an Alan Partridge type "aaah!" coming on!

I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

Assistant in a pet shop for few years or so while I was in school/college
Office Cleaner while i was in uni for a bit of extra pin money
Civil Servant in the `Crime Reduction Unit` until gimpy policies forced me to quit
Database Admin for the most hateful bunch of f***heads it has ever been my mis-fortune to work for.
Tech Support for a Large IT company
Database Manager

The worst one out of the lot was the Database Admin. I worked for a company that seemed to actively hate its entire staff. They just seemed to resent having to employ people. So, naturally, I did as little work as possible as badly as possible.

The best was probably the home office as I did a lot of work out of the office so I got out and about and met people quite a lot. But then lightning struck thrice and my position became pretty much untennable.

Well its a dirt job, but someones gotta do it.......
