Page 1 of EErrr! Hello DVD Reviewer - don`t you know that Judaism is a pretty big religion!! not in your poll?

I feel like i`m on the BNP website - first some bloke says the Holocaust never happened! and then you completely leave the Jewish Religion off the poll - what is it about this site!

I don`t want to be an "Other" - I`m Jewish and i`m proud.

D`oh! Egg on my face I think as I suggested the poll; my uncle`s Jewish so how I missed putting it as an option is beyond me - sorry.

Seriously though, that guy talking about how the jews have really milked the whole Holocaust thing. What a nut bar!

I actually went to a Catholic school run by monks and i remember our religion teacher (a monk obviously) telling us about the holocaust. He mentioned something about the jews bringing it on themselves. Shocked, we asked him what he meant and he muttered something about how they tend to stick to themselves and aggravate other communities!
Strange thing is he was actually a nice guy, just a bit confused about the holocaust i suspect.

Well i`m Jewish, but I also went to a Christian School! Yeah! No Kidding! - I had to go to Chapel each day and recite the Lord`s Prayer (although it was slightly abridged when I said it). The fact is, is that i`m a Jew that does not segregate myself - I have respect for all religions and am quite educated in most of them.

I appreciate all faiths, but I can`t stand denial of facts! i`m not crazy religious - I love Bacon Butties! but things like Holocaust denials boils my blood! and i`ll argue the truth until I drop.

Forgot Jewish, and my dad`s mother`s side is Jewish, if thats any conselation. :)

On a related note, I often read about the Jews calling themselves a race, and want the same protection from racism that other races enjoy.

But yet we are allowed to ridicule muslims and catholics in this country as they are just a faith?

All very interesting from the pov of an Athiest.

well thats the funny thing about `racism`. As far as im aware there are three races;

[list=a] [*] Mongoloid
[*] Negr oid (spaced to avoid filter madness)
[*] Caucasian [/list=a]

And south asians like Indians and Pakistanis are classed as caucasian. So is it actually racist when a `White christian` badmouths a muslim?

Isnt it religionist (if that is indeed a word)?

So for the jews to be counted as a seperate race would be moving the goalposts pretty far.

Robert - The thing is this - i`ve been asked in the past what it`s like to live in Israel - yet at that time, I hadn`t been there. So I asked the young lady why she had asked me and she said that I was Jewish and therefore I must be Israeli!!

I explained i`m English Born and Bred - My religion is Judaism - just like she was English and Christian! she didn`t get it!

The perception is out there that we aren`t just a Religion, but we`re also a race. That perception came from elsewhere and unfortunately because people assume we`re different (and we`re not) then we have no choice but to band ourselves as a race.

I`m a normal bloke - I like my football, I like a good curry, I`m partial to the odd pint, I read the sun. Most people assume i`m Christian - but you should see the reaction when I tell them that i`m Jewish - they get weirded out. I still don`t understand why - but until there`s a time when we can just accept each other as Human Beings - then we have to be considered a race.

I don`t know - there`s still a lot to learn out there.

Is the `is Jew a race or a relgion` something to do with that after the Romans kicked them out of Jerusalem in about 500ad and have since dispersed everywhere, and therfore being Jewsish hsa been passed through bloodline in order to survive, as oppose to choice of relgion from within a certian country.

And there for maybe thats why they are both a race and a relgion.

A very unique situation i would say.

If you take little/no interest in religion in any shape or form,or give a stuff what religion anyone else is (I don`t mean that in a disrespectful way,I mean it makes no difference to me and I`ll treat everyone the same),what does that make you ?
