Page 1 of Old `50s Sci-Fi and Horror flicks
General Forum
It`s a long shot, but I don`t suppose anyone has any information on whether or not any of the old 50s Sci Fi and Horror flicks will be released (any region). I`ve got a couple - "Forbiden Planet", the original "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" - but how about "Them!" (the giant ants...cool!), "I was a Teenage Werewolf", "The Day the Earth Stood Still", "Thing From Another World", etc.. the list goes on...
Any information, rumors etc.. greatly appreciated.
Hodge.
Edit.... It was a difficult choice between the S/W forum and the general forum, so I let the coin decide....blame the coin....blame the coin! Sorry...my mistake.

Try the old software forum, Hodgeybabes, and see whether you can`t wow `em there. Copy and paste, old bean, copy and paste...

I think "Forbiden Planet" is out in Region 1
RE: Old `50s Sci-Fi and Horror flicks
try futureent.com they have loads of old classic roger corman horror films you get two on one dvd at the moment look under there horror section but before you order one you see check in there cheap discs section sometimes there in there as well but about £3.00 cheaper
RE: Old `50s Sci-Fi and Horror flicks
Futureent.com have b-movies on the last page of the cheap section.
Monster that challenged the earth (1957) that kind of thing.....
RE: Old `50s Sci-Fi and Horror flicks
There`s an 8 disk set from Universal called Classic Monsters Collection which has most of the greats, Frankie, Bride of Frankie,Wolf man, Dracula, Invisible man, Phantom of the Opera,The Mummy and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Loads of extras which is unusual considering the age of most of the films but a must-have set
I got mine from DV-Depot, (each disk came wrapped up in paper towelling so no scratches!) and the DHL it in a `particular` way so that nice Mr Taxman doesn`t notice - `nuff said!
I know its not 50`s stuff, but it`s just as good, IMHO.
