Does anyone speak Arabic or Hebrew?

David Beckett (Reviewer) posted this on Monday, 14th March 2005, 10:07

Someone at my Dad`s work is trying to find an Arabic and/or Hebrew translation of the name `Benjamin`. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance. :)

Hey wossname, my little brother speaks very good arabic, although it is Egyptian Arabic, am told it is slight different.

I`ll ask him when he finishes work.

Aparantly this is how you would write it in Arabic, working on a translation.

A colleague wants to get it tattooed so I doubt it will be the Israeli equivalent. Thanks Superted - have you got a bigger picture of that?

that`s NOT benjamin, trust me. i am assuming you dont want a translation of the meaning, just how the same name would look in arabic right? the thing above is a translation.

i am working nights right now but gimme a day or two and i will use the tablet i have at home and make a decent sized jpeg.

I got that off one of the translator sites, did look a bit long.

I have just emailed my brother to see if he can do something, and also emailed my mum, she still lives in Egypt and has a few Egyptian friends and staff so between them they should get it.

All the best

How`s this?

Just got it from my brother, he said the lines should be nice and fluid, not so straight, he did it like that so it is easier to make out.

You can download the original bmp from tinypics if you want, or I can email it to you. Just pm. me your email address.

All the best

Thanks very much to you and your brother :) . I`ll pass this on so that it can be copied accurately and maybe permanently inked in!
