Growing up in a catholic family and being the worlds worst Altar boy on account of I never bothered to find out what was actualy happening at any point during a service, i.e. just do what the kid next to you is doing and get out as quick as possible. However after spectacularly reducing one church service given by visiting priest to a total farce when I was the only alter boy to turn up, my services were no longer required. Dave Allen would have been proud. Hope the beeb now puts his shows on again. A crime they haven`t before. All I can say is.... I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

RIP, I have fond memories of his show on bbc2 in the (dare i say it) 70`s, funny bloke, hope the beeb do a tribute.
