Good he did get off.

He lives quite nearby and there are often kids hangin around at the weekends outside his house. He has had to put up a bigger fence and gates to try and keep people out. Even though he is in the public eye he still deserves privacy. .

This particular chav was warned by the Police not to flog his story to the press before the case had gone to trial. He did talk to the press, though, and subsequently lied to the Police about having done so.

How this whole thing got as far as court is baffling. Fricking waste of time & money.

Seeing some of his behaviour on the field of play, I have no doubt that he may have stepped over the boundary with this particular idiot. Fact is though that the idiot in question was found to be a liar and also of going there deliberately to provoke Keane, so justice was done.

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...

And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

What `boundary` is this then, and when did it come into play ? :/
You suggesting he should have left it alone,or tried reasoning with scum ?
Or perhaps phoned the coppers, who would have done little/nothing ?

Perhaps the argument that there are `boundaries` when dealing with `above the law` scum is part of the problem.
You go back twenty or thirty years and it would have been the coppers giving the chav a thick ear.
It`s a sign of the times that the chav firstly felt in a position to report it to the police and, secondly, was given the time of day.

Of course,in this case,it was all about compensation.
Of that I have no doubt. >:(
