Difference between M-Lock and normal packaging

kevtrader (Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 9th February 2005, 18:04

What is the difference between M-Lock and normal packaging as I`m thinking of selling some of my dvd`s?

I`m thinking of selling some to thatzdvd.com. Do people get fairly good prices from them?

I`ll be grateful to get any answers!

Thanks

Kevin

M-Lock is the mechanism on the DVD hub (middle of where the disc sits) where you push down, and the disc `pops` up - thus preventing you from bending your shiny new disc in halve with your over eager hands! ;)

ThatzDVD seem to be a wee bit `stingy` with their prices. I was offered 3 quid each for 2 Xbox games (of the highest quality may i add!)

I`ve got some seasons of the X-Files. I know they changed the packaging after I bought them. Are the new one M-Lock?

Thanks

Kevin

I`ve got a load of crap films like Beyond Bedlam, Tunnel Vision, Hide and Seek, Blue Desert etc! I don`t know how many as I`ve haven`t counted how many are in the boxes I keep them in!

Would thatzdvd.com be the best way to shift them as the audience for these type of films must be small? I`m guessing the number to be about 50-100 dvds but I really don`t know yet until I count them.

Kevin

EDIT:

The total is about 115 dvds and that doesn`t include the box sets! It`s likely to grow in the next few days as I sort through my collection.

did you sell your old dvds to thatzdvd.com? I have been looking at the value of some of my `classic` deleted dvds and the prices they buy arent that good plus in the t&c its says its actually 85% of the buying price is what you get back in cash.

just wondered if anyone has used them and how they got their money or did you use it as credit to buy from them again?
