A problem with buying boxsets overseas is they may incur the wrath of customs.

I`ve never had customs problems with any Canadian suppliers though ( touch wood).

So you could try http://www.absound.ca at £46 delivered though they are out of stock and quoting 2-3 weeks delivery.

Or http://www.video-now.com/ who have the set for £54.35 including delivery but with shipping in 1-2 days.

Hope this helps

Theres also www.amazon.com although I dont know how long they take to send stuff to the UK though because I havent ordered anything from them yet.

I am definitely getting the R1 set eventually as well, as you say the R2 set is severely lacking in the same amount and quality of extras. Nothing new there then!

Thanks for the replys, i`ve already got the Box set on VHS but i really want it on DVD cus its such a great program. I`am not to bothered about delivery times, but don`t really wanna be waiting weeks and weeks. Has anyone ordered from amazon.com? If so how long does it take to deliver? I heard that you won`t pay customs as they ship them to germany and then the UK? And finaly do they take a VISA debit card as i don`t have a Credit Card at the moment. Cheers

Much of Amazon`s stuff DOES go through mail centres in Germany, Austria and Holland, but SOME goes directly to the UK, it often seems to be certain shipping centres of Amazon`s that do this. I asked them if it were possible for me to `choose` which depot sent me my orders, but they said no. They also informed me that each depot arranges its own shipping, so that is why some go direct and some go via shipping centres in Europe, these are the ones that come through free, as once in the EU, there is no cost for shipping into the UK from another EU country. From about 30 orders I`ve made to Amazon (all over the £18 `limit`) over the last year, I`ve had to pay duty on about 4 or 5, so not a bad ratio.
P.S. One of my `free` orders included the Sporanos series one box set.

I have made over 20 orders from amazon.com throught standard air mail and 3 times through UPS and DHL and not once did I get stung by duty and tax through the standard air delivery. One order even had the toy story box set, sex and the city seaon 1, terminator 2 UE, Saving private Ryan, High Fidelity and Sports illustrated box set, together cost over £100 and no duty on that either. The only time I had to pay duty was through the special delivery from UPS, you don`t have to pay DHL duty for some reason. UPS slap on duty and £20 for "brokage surcharge", totally unaccecptable.

It normally takes 2 weeks to arrive, most times 10 days, say you order on a monday, you should get it by the next friday or saturday.
