Need help choosing a player :/

Scott Grenney (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 11th April 2001, 11:14

I bought a Proline 2000 from comet. To cut a long story short It broke. a month later I had to get tough and finally got comet to give me credit (£150) because the proline was unrepairable.

http://www.comet.co.uk/webapp/commerce/command/CategoryDisplay?cgmenbr=927&cgrfnbr=1591308&catname=DVD%20Players&main_cgrfnbr=1591305&main_catname=

The URL about is the choice of DVD players I have to choose from (I can add more to the £150 credit). After my last choice broke, I`m being more careful about my next dvd player :/

Can anyonre recommend say 2 players on the comet site? (need 2 because they always seem to run out of stock :( )

Even though I am an LG owner and would recommend the 3200E model for the extra money go for the Aiwa, you will not be disappointed as Jimbo will surely testify !

Come on brothers give it up for the Aiwa !

Yup! lol
When you gonna dump that 3200 anyways Vern?
Now that the Aiwa 370 is back in stock in the UK, it`s time for you to sell that LG and upgrade to a nice wee Aiwa.

I`ve also got a 3350 now too, but I still prefer the Aiwa remote, the PBC on/off options.

All I need now is to find which chip on the LG controls the PBC and try to clone it into my LG.
Even considering ordering another fascia from Aiwa and taking off the horrible LG one! Lol!

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!

Jimbo I have to agree the Aiwa looks better fascia wise than the LG 3350, ugly mothe.... so I might be tempted soon..... I`m just waiting for Brands to replace my 3200e and then I might flog it, the missus may have some bearing on this being a reality tho !!!

Scoot. you`ve probably stuck this in the wrong place (I know it`s not very clear where newbies should go...)

At the moment we have a very interesting debate between two of our more honourable members, but I think you`ll get better exposure over at the Hardware Forum.

Give it a whirl...
