Cinema scum!

Went to see Open Water last night.Just my luck to have a whole row of scum(not chavs)just bastard teens sitting about 4 rows in front of me.Talked the whole way through the film,to each other and on the phone. Then the sound cut out and that was it,shouting out all sorts.Someone plucked up the courage to get the manager and he chucked the whole row out.Wish I`d done it about 90 minutes earlier. But did they care what they had done?Did they f**k!Then to cap it all off the film finished about 2 minutes later.I tell you, this sort of thing is putting me off going to see films now.Death Squads. It`s the only way forward.BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might not look like the dreaded Chavs, but their philosophy (big word, for them) is the same.
I stay at home and watch DVD`s these days. The cinema is a stressful and painful experience these sad days.

I`m happy to say 99% of my cinema visits are stress-free.

I`ve experienced the odd talker, but nothing majorly annoying. Usually when you come out talking about the people in front, it`s a sign that the film was second-rate! When the film is good you are engrossed in it - someone could be stripping naked next to you and you wouldn`t notice.

At least you`ve learned a lesson now - tell the manager immediately. If they get thrown out after 2 minutes, they`ve wasted the equivalent of a bottle of cider and will think again next time.

I always go to the cinema before 12 while chavs are still in bed! ;)
There`s normally a maximum of 10 other people in a big UGC cinema so it is nice and quiet.

I`ve tried that, but the bloody Chavs are there instead of being in school.

find out when the local pension day is, or signing on day, you should be safe then as they will either be out robbing/mugging oap`s or signing on (& buying white lightning cider)

just a thought ;)

I`ve found, much to my surprise, that ignorance & lack of respect towards others is not solely confined to the young. More often than not, I have to ask someone to be quiet when I go to watch a film at the cinema...whether young or old.

One of the worst instances was when I went to see The Passion of the Christ. Two middle-aged women constantly talked throughout the first-half of the film. I asked them politely to consider others, and to please stop talking, but to no avail. I had to ask them twice again within 10 mins of me originally asking, to which the appalled ladies walked out in disgust...thankfully.

It`s not just occasionally that this happens...it`s a regular occurance, & I have to admit that I don`t go to the cinema as often as I`d like nowadays because of this.

Then again, this lack of respect towards others is not just confined to the cinema. It appears that a lot of people have very little respect for others in general. Good manners are in short supply, and an increasing number of individuals seem to think that`s fine. :(

I reckon they should bring back the balcony in cinemas as us decent folk could sit up there and bombard the neds/chavs with apple-sour slush puppys and rancid hot-dogs with plenty hot,hot mustard................yessssss

My two penneth worth. Just got back from seeing Dodgeball with the children and the missus (Ben Stiller was OTT but funny with it- but you probably knew that right?) Seated on the second row as thats all that was left I`m sat next to a 17-18 yr old couple. The films about to start and they are chatting loudly. The film starts, they are chatting. We`re in to the first 5 mins and I stare at them both and sign the lad to close his mouth to which he nods guiltely....then proceeds to chat with his gf on and off (on more than off) for the remainder of the film. These weren`t clamshell totting chavs but well spoken kids. Thank the Maker for DVD!
BTW I went to the local UCG, out of focus, ( although I spose I was close close to the screen), looked like a second rate VHS copy and dont get me started on the poor quality sound!_PK
