R1 Discs - who`s the best supplier ?

Mezz (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 30th August 2000, 12:51

I`ve been told about various websites who supply R1 discs via mail order - but which are the best ones? And I don`t mean just in price - although that is important ! Who offer the speediest delivery service? Who`s the most reputable? Who has the widest range ? Who should I avoid? Your advice would be most appreciated.

I use www.play247.com. Discs seem to arrive in just a couple of days and they have a pretty easy to use website.

The Best has to be http://www.play247.com I`ve bought nearly 20 dvd`s from them over the last few months since February and they have been the quickest and one of the cheapest around. Their website is easy to use and keeps you upto date on your order, they email you the day they post the dvd too to confirm postage which is free! to Europe.
Another one to try is http://www.dvdboxoffice.com who are actually cheaper on some dvd`s and also free postage worldwide. Their website isnt quite so easy to use and their delivery service isn`t as quick as play247.com however if you dont mind waiting 2 more days, for a better price then there you go. To compare prices, I have been buying from dvd boxoffice using their canadian dollar prices, as they are a better conversion it seems to uk pounds. Using the price convertor on the region 1 secion on DVD.REVIEWER will help compare prices to play247.com.
These are the only two websites i use, occasionally i check out other websites, and I have ordered from many other sources, but these two are the best for Region 1, and play247.com the best overall for R2 and R1 in my opinion. :)
Andy.
