How much is too much for a pair of jeans?
I`m after a pair of new jeans, and after looking through town there really was nothing that took my fancy. I`d like a pair of these really, which will be shipped over from the US and come to about £130 in total including delivery. This is a lot of money to me, but they are really nice and I`ve never bought an item of clothing that pricey before (apart from a suit). So... is this too much money? I found a pair on eBay, but they were too big (36" and I`m a 32"), and they had a buy it now for £70.
Your opinions? Ever bought an item of clothing for this amount before? :/

Each to their own, but I think the designers must p*** themselves with laughter most of the time. People will pay any amount to wear a badge nowadays, everyone is eager to pay a fortune to be a walking advert. I`m all for paying for good quality, but a lot of the prices are obscene.
But, if somebody wants to spend their money on designer clothes, it`s entirely up to that person...it`s their money.
I saw a decent Von Dutch t-shirt the other day; nice black t-shirt with a small saw-on type skull & crossbones patch, c/w with the Von Dutch logo in the middle of the shirt. I decided to venture into the shop to have a look & the f***ing thing was £99.00. If I s*** money on a daily basis, I still wouldn`t pay that for it.
No amount of designer bulls*** could ever convince me that it`s worth £99.00. It`s a t-shirt, for f***`s sake. Still, there are enough mugs who`ll pay £99 for it, so the designer won`t lose out.
Anyway, back to the original question...if you want the jeans, I say buy them. You earn your money, so spend it on the things you want...we only come this way once!

As I`m more of a "portly" 40 inch waist frame. Burtons and BHS are the only place I can get them to fit believe it or not. £20. :-)
Nobody asks, nobody knows. And I look great! :-) The last pair of named jeans I bought were in 1993. Levis 501`s. £32. They had holes in them after about 2 months. Burtons? 5 years later.. no holes. YOU be judge.

My Levis fit better than any other pair of jeans I`ve bought and they`ve lasted years.
Bought them for £35 in a sale (501s) and they were dark. Now they`ve been washed and worn so much, they look like those "trendy" worn out jeans you get. No holes in them mind.

I tend to buy mine from anywhere that actually has my size. 32 inch waist 29 (30) leg (it used to be a 30 inch waist).
Last pair I bought cost £8 the most I have paid in recent years was £12 & my boss only twigged the other month I was wearing jeans (black) not trousers after 18 months. ;)

I just ask myself how many DVD`s could I buy for this amount? Then leave the jeans and go and buy dozens lof lovely shiny discs.
