Could someone recommend me a credit card that does 1% cash back? I`m paying the deposit for my house soon and thought it would be a good way to make some easy money.

Alliance & Leicester do this cash back thing. If it`s not 1%, it`s pretty close to that.
Edit: Correction, it`s a miserable 0.5% according to that comparison site. Sorry :(

American Express BLUE give 1%.( 2% for the first 3 months), but not every body accepts it!!!!!!!!!!!, so you also need a back up like Nationwide Visa which pays 0.5%. (I think that this gives 1% for the first 3 months) (this card is good for transactions abroad, as their exchange rate is better than the others who mask their commision by giving you a poor exchange rate. You may not be able to use credit card for a house purchase deposit, but its worth a try.

Thanks for the suggestions. I`m going to check out the link in the first post and see what looks best.
I have an American Express Gold Corporate card which has a great loyalty scheme with it but I`m not 100% my work will let me use it. :(

Morgan Stanley did a mastercrd that gave 1% CB, don`t know if it is still available though

I`ve got the afore mentioned Alliance Leicester one. I got £37 cashback of them last week which is pretty good if you ask me, especially considering I only ended up paying a few quid interest last year.. The partners do double cashback, most of them aren`t that notable except BP which is useful if you always refuel there (I almost never do). Curry`s are another partner if you ever buy anything from them.

A&L give you 1% if you have a Premeir current account. I have just received my cash back cheque for £115. Not bad for just using your credit card :)

The one you want is Capital One Circle Rebate card. This is 1% cashback on all purchases. Interest rate is quite high so make sure you pay it off every month. You have to phone and ask for that card specifically as they no longer promote the card. Just gotten mine a few weeks ago. Stopped using my Goldfish card after they chaged the points system.
