go to the picture you want to link to....

right click with your mouse on that picture....a menu should pop up.

At the bottom of that menu, probably, is a `Properties` link. Select this (left click - usually) and this will take you to the Properties window.

Within this window you`ll see the Address (URL) line.

Select ALL of this by highlighting (from http:// right through to the end of .jpg - if it`s a jpeg you`re linking to of course).

Copy this link by ctrl-C (or Edit - copy..you know the sort of thing)

Paste what you have copied into your DVD Reviewer reply / opening thread or whatever.

Highlight the WHOLE link again within the reviewer window and click on the `Image` tab above the smileys.

When you submit the message you should be able to see the pic in the thread, assuming `hotlinks` haven`t been disabled on the site to which you`re linking.

er...this any good?

**EDIT**

Also, make sure you haven`t been clicking on RJS`s new bit about not showing pictures in the forums :-).

and as a worked example...

this URL which I selected by right clicking on a picture I found should work...

http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/coastline/images/w_gower06.jpg

the following pic is the result of highlighting the above URL and then clicking on `Image` and then pressing `Submit`

I guess you need to upload images to an on-line pic hosting site first?

Good site - shame about the spelling mistake !

(Sorry, but it`s in my nature to be picky).

And yes, the instructions are fairly idiot proof.

Something worth adding (before I get around to adding that Site FAQ one day :)) is that many people here link to images on external sites which only work if you have security software installed that blocks referrals.

So basically the rest of us see it as a broken link. :/

So I`m the idiot then.

Still, it looks good from here.
