I`ve just purchased some vcd`s and they play fine in my Oritron DVD player. I was just wondering if anyone knew weather macrovision is always enabled what even is in the player or is macrovision enabled by the dvd itself. So basically will i get a scrambled picture if i try and record vds to vhs?
any help would be great

The player reads the Macro encoding from the disc, so it depends on the movie you watch.
Even some of my VCD`s have macro on them, but the majority don`t!

I think macrovision is enabled by the dvd disc itself. I have recorded some dvds to vhs perfectly. amerrican psycho and u571 copied well. as do pretty much everything on the entertainment in video label
