i know the vids the fault now i checked the manual and you`s are right it won`t record an NTSC format, and it only plays one with limited features on the remote no still frame and stuff like that but was thinking now of getting a PAL/NTSC converter and connecting that between the Vid player and the DVD, I think that should do it,

S.>>i haven`t got a copy of ID4 i can`t even get one to rent so don`t know how it would play in the player, but all the other titles I have tried work fine, i.e. Sleepy Hollow PAL, JAWS NTSC, The Thing PAL,Lake Placid NTSC, and others Lake placid had lipsync probs before the firmware upgrade now it`s fine.

All problems are sorted by the latest firmware upgrade u used 3.3

only in this firmware version have they sorted out problems with seamless branching such as in abyss and ID.

So RJS only upgrading to this firmware will sort all probs.

If u do this, could u re-review the player and give it a new rating??
