I nominate my home town of Wrexham (although I live 12 miles outside it - Thank God) as worst. It tries to compete with Chester but comes off very much second best. The local roads are in a terrible state and the traffic planners haven`t a clue on how to keep traffic moving imo. The council (labour) are next to useless and spend our very high council tax on stupid things like a new theatre which nobody wants or needs. The stores aren`t up to much, particularly the DIY stores, they`ve never got what you want. Neither has the Tesco Extra store come to that. Oh and to cap it all, there were riots on the very big council estate not so long ago.

I love London, Sussex (parts, not all of it) and my home county, Dorset. The latter has some great beaches, a lot to do, and nice southern weather. Come down and join me in my empire. :-D

Best = London. It`s just gotta be, because it`s got every facet of life. I`m not a Londoner, just an adotped one.

Worst = Hard to say, all towns have their good points. But Birmingham was certainly the grimmest I`ve been in. And I lived in Middlesbrough for three years! (Horrible to approach via road but great place once you`re in there).

London is by far the best town in England. Ive travelled around England quite a bit and suffice to say most other areas are not nearly as good.
Worst is probably newcastle or manchester.
