Page 1 of Car baby hands free is it any good or just cheap rubbish that doesnt work

I need to get a cheap car hands free as I cant afford to get 3 points on my licence the car baby looks good by transmitting a signal through the radio has anyone got one to know if its any good or can anyone recommend another one I however dont want to stick or screw any holders to my dash board.

There is a `general` hands free kit on the market that sells for around a fiver, contains a dash fixing bracket for your mobile , a microphone attachment and a small black plastic battery operated speaker.

You will get it at most Sunday local markets at stalls/boot sales that sell mobile phone accessories, its works OK , not the best product on the market as it is cheap & cheerfull.

I have been using it for two weeks now and its all right.

Cheap, it`ll only work as a speaker phone though. You`ll still have to use the phone handset to accept any incoming calls or make any outgoing calls though which probably means you`ll still need a phone holder of sorts. I see that part of the Radio 2 set of frequencies is used. That should be interesting if you`re parked up against someone in a car park listening to Radio 2 and you get a call :D

GW6UFO is QRT at the moment

This Car baby thing seems to be the same as this but found the car baby for a tenner not the £39 here. Only operates 3ft away from the radio so cannot be picked up by others.

OK on that site Peter. It does state however that a phone holder is required to comply with the law. So tutchy is stymied maybe ?
