Wharfedale DVD 750 Subtitle and Audio track problems

Craigie (Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 27th July 2000, 19:49

OK. I recently bought a Wharfedale from tesco and the region 1 discs work fine, everything in that department s fine................
..............but, when a disc is loaded up the machine picks an audio track or subtitle setting at random. Not much of a problem, but annoying none the less when you just want to sit down and watch a disc.
Is there some sort of option I can change so that the player will default to no sub-titles and the default audio channel, or is my machine some how on the blink.
Any help would be great.

Cheers.

The Wharfedale always seems to default to subtitles on for some annoying reason. One of its quirks I`m afraid.

Strange, because mine doesn`t. It defaults to Subtitle 01, but with the Subtitles OFF on mine. Audio track always defaults to Audio 01 too.

Maybe its just one batch that has this quirk.

Try the settings and see what there is ... (or there`s always that *wonderful* manual that comes with it.

Failing that, call them direct - their website has a service number on it - and see what they say.
