Page 1 of 28 days later alternative ending in us cinemas

In the U.S they are showing 28 days later with an alternative ending..

dont live in the us but would like to know what the alternative ending is.
i watched this film at the cinema and while i thought it was good i dont really wana buy it on dvd.

so if some one could let us know what happens it would be great..

It`s the alternative ending that is on the UK dvd. I suppose the cheery ending we had was too light and fluffy for the yanks..

i know its the one on the dvd but i dont have the dvd was wonderin if some one could tell us what happens

On the R2 DVD an alternate ending is shown where Jim dies after being shot by Major West as Hannah and Selena try in vain to save him. This is intercut with a dream Jim is having of the accident that put him in a coma. We then see Selena and Hannah hailing the Norwegian fighter plane but with a chicken instead of Jim.

...from Imdb. there was another one where Jim gets infected, and the girls break into the lab to find a cure. But this was cut as due to the events of the film, the liklihood of a cure existing at all was very slim
