BBC Regions on satellite - Yipee ! Can get `em now

Looks like BBC Free to Air service has gone according to plan. Managed to get regions other my own local one (BBC Wales). Had to get them via "Other Channels" though, as they don`t yet appear to be listed on the EPG

I hope this will allow all the football fans in England the chance to watch such classic games from up here in Bonnie Scotland. Games such as the always entertaining Partick Thistle V Motherwell or even the highly charged games between Dundee and Aberdeen.

How do you get them? I tuned Tyne Tees in last year, but that was via a website which gave the frequency etc. Wouldn`t mind getting BBC Newcastle. Can`t remember what the website was.......any ideas??

Delboy.

Select Services
Select Add Channels
Set Frequency to 10788V , Mbaud 22.0 and FEC 5/6
Select Find Channels
Store Channels

Then do the same but set frequency to 10818V and the same, 22.0 and 5/6
Store Channels.

You should find all the channels there and after storing can select them through Services and Other Channels.

It`s good that we`re going to get the proper BBC regions now. I`m sick of having to turn over to Freeview to get Look North instead of that bladdy Lahndan noos ;-)

Like I said it`s good news for me (no pun intended). I live in North East Wales very very close to the Shropshire border , but with a Welsh postcode. This meant I was "forced" to watch BBC Wales on Sky,the local news of which was very South Wales biased IMO and of little use. Whereas my interests newswise are more focused on the English North West. Not only that, but I am an "ex pat" Londoner, so it is nice to be able to have a peek at what`s goin on dahn sarf so to speak. I am a "happy chappy".

Just noticed that all the regional BBC channels are between 941 and 959 on the EPG.

So all you lucky folks in England will now be able to marvel at the skills of Partick Thistle and revel at the heart warming cameraderie and sportsmanship on show in an Old firm game :)

They`ve also attempted to give me my local region on 101 on the EPG, but messed up. I live in nottingham (East mids) and they`ve put West Mids on 101. sigh.
