Schneider Dolby Pro Logic Surround kit @ ASDA - any good?

MAD Jazpa (Competent) posted this on Tuesday, 16th January 2001, 21:12

My local ASDA are flogging off the above piece of kit, leads `n` all. You get 5 speakers and the sub woofer amp thingymajig (I`m not that up to date on this). OK it`s not DTS but but it is Dolby Pro Logic 5.1. Does anyone know if they`re any good? Cost is £99.99. Seems a bargain or is it a load of cack!

Well, it aint 5.1 just Pro Logic.
(Four channel instead of six channel)

and from that URL posted above, it`s a load of cack! lol

Especially as around £50 more can get you a half decent sounding one.

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!

You can get a cut-price Kenwood 5.1 amp (but not DTS) from Richer Sounds for £100 at the moment, but of course, you`d need speakers too.

Dont buy it for gods sake!

Not unless you can afford to waste 100 quid when you replace it 6 months later with something acceptable.
