Page 1 of Where can I get a Nokia 3310 unlocked ???

Got an old virgin 3310 lying around the house, and I want to give it to my daughter who will be using an O2 sim.
I have tried the likes of accomm, but they only unlock 3510 onwards/upwards.
Anyone know how/where I can get a 3310 unlocked ?

I`ve used www.unimobiles.com , I think they charge £10 but you have to send your phone. I have also seen some stall`s on markets are now unlocking phones.

You may be able download the software to unlock the phone yourself if you try one of the ftp sites e.g. www.filemirrors.com and search for unlock you may be able to find the software you then just need a cable to connect your phone to the PC.

** stop press ** just checked their site, and they dont do 3310s....

For $10 (about £6), then give you the codes to enter in the telephone.

Or you can find a local shop, that will charge about £10, to do it via a cable linked to a PC.

Looks like it does need a `physical` unlock by cable, rather than a simple code eh ?
I`ve heard my local outdoor market has a guy that does it on a Sunday.
I usually avoid said types of market, but hey ! - looks like they have their uses !

Dont think you can get a 3310 unlock by IMEI its a DCT3 handset, you can buy the magic clips now for £17.50ish unlocks in seconds ;-)

A bloke at www.irwebonline.com does it for £7.50.

Does the Virgin phone still have a valid SIM card? As far as I am aware Virgin will unlock the phone for free at your request. Give `em ring.

Thats right, virgin will do it but I think you need £30 phone credit. Simon @irwebonline is a good fella, bought from him before.
