It must be easy to clean though.

A frying pan.

Turn on the hob, just butter the outsides of the bread. Pile with fillings and flip once. You barely have to clean the thing and none of this "cross shaped" diaganol crap that squeezes the cheese out all over the machine.

My mum. She makes the best. Self-cleaning, too.

We bought one not long ago from argos, it is a Morphy Richards toast and grill, makes very nice butties

But best of all it is dishwasher proof so no more scapping cheese off it, also comes with a spare set of flat plates for griddling burgers or fish.

Here`s a link http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/commerce/command/ExecMacro/ols_prod_detl.d2w/report?prrfnbr=4212959&prmenbr=6970&type=big&thisMode=ols&cgrfnbr=774937

All the best

Ger.

Lean Mean Grilling Machine as endorsed by Mr Foreman himself !! A great sandwich toaster plus you can also do your whole fry up !! Sausages and Bacon are cracking gets rid of all the fat !! V easy to clean just wipe over with a damp cloth !!!

Must admit to owning a foreman grill. I still find it not so great when the watery grease gets in the machines nooks and crannies - I tend to pour boiling water over the surfaces and let it pour into the grease tray. Still, its great for doing burgers.

A frying pan does the same job on anything else though.

The best 1 I ever ever ever used in the whole wide world was one for a Gas cooker!
It was so simple to use and clean and it made UFO sandwitches!

I might still have it but dont use it as I dont have gas
But I might have 1 day :D

Not sure they sell em anymore though!
