Yes there are some rough edges but hopefully the new forums should be one heck of a lot easier to use than the old ones.

Will be adding some new features soon too, such as a search facility. Also got a few bugs to fix but for now hopefully it at least works.

Great stuff

Seems excellent so far. :-) Good work guys!

One idea, though...

After clicking a thread, could it be marked as read (i.e. no longer new)?

Maybe it gets a bit more complicated if the thread is really long and spans multiple pages (if they do), but you get what I mean hopefully. heh

Unfortunately at this stage not, due to the way it checks for new threads. Something to consider in future however... :-)

But but but, what if I read a thread, then go back and click "mark all read" just after someone posts a new message to an old thread? It`ll mark the thread as being read and I`ll never see the message that could`ve changed my life... heh

(Spot the programmer...)

Here in lies an interesting dilemma. On the one hand you risk missing messages if the forum postings are extremely busy or you dont touch anything for ages and then click mark all read.

And on the other, if the forums are busy, you could be endlessly clicking mark all read. ;-)

Decisions, decisions... ;-)
