Well its rumoured that Nelly is giving is unhappy scan owners a free DVD/VIDEO disc to try and play in their replacment machines this christmas. Well I thought I could recomend a few of the tracks of famous artist he could put on his disc, I am certain that all scan owners would

Quite funny,again.It seems i might even be tempted to give bear
a free dvd.Anyway screw the lot of you ive just taken delivery of my
sony dvp 9000es sacd dvd player.I will be having a merry christmas.

I think that nelley`s last comment is shocking. I was at first considering purchasing a SC-2000, but my confidence has been slowly eroded.

I think the comment "Anyway screw the lot of you ive just taken delivery of my sony dvp 9000es sacd dvd player. I will be having a merry christmas" is not only an insult to those Scan customers awaiting a replacement player, but also seems indicative of the Scan customer services "Take your money and run" mentality.

I`ll be having a happy christmas with my slightly grainy picture, nicam stereo, yet tried-and-trusted VHS player. Roll on the January Sales!

Yes but i have to give it back in january and it doesnt play mp3s or cdrs.
You cant really compare a £1300 dvd player with a £180 dvd player.
An sc-2000 has always been part of my system for the mp3s but
i am a serious home system with a high end system.The comment was not to say
throw your sc-2000 away but to make bear a little jealous as i can
basically have any piece of home cinema equipment i want.When the sony goes i will recieve the pioneer dax10 elite dvd player which plays
sacd disks and dvd audio as i will be testing an add on unit for the lexicon
mc-1 for lexicon in the states on my 65inch sony widecreen projection

That right nelly you have to give it back,unlike the scan owners who have to send it back in jan..feb..march..apr...may..jun...jul...aug...ect...ect...

In the spirit of Christmas, I feel that you should be a good sport and at least let all of us poor Scan owners know which top quality make/model of DVD player you currently own. It`s hardly fair to pour scorn on us without letting us know just what we should aspire to in the future.

Oh, and by the way, when you had your Scan player (you did have a Scan player, didn`t you?), was it one of the more recent batches? I assume it was, as you wouldn`t want to be accused of talking out of your most vertically challenged orifice regarding accurate information about its picture quality etc, now would you? That would be misleading and make you no better than those dispicable people who reviewed these machines.

You`d hardly be demanding answers from nelley unless you were a disgruntled customer, I guess.

However, I was rather surprised at you putting information on this site regarding the Apex. Such a cheap, no-brand player, and you were asking if it could be bought in the UK!

Now, obviously, you wouldn`t even consider the machine but don`t you think it a bit unfair to even inform lesser DVD-philes of its existence. There could be a whole new group of Scan-like plebs out there who could buy it thinking it might actually play DVD`s.

In any event, we Scan users can still take a joke. We must be able to, as we have Scan players AND the bear to put up with;-)
