I`m considering buying one of these two players, so opinions form current owners would be much appreciated.

Go for the later LG if you can 3350 better spec and can be hacked easier. I`ve had mine for a while now with no probs even with layed discs. Don`t know about the Sony model but I`m guessing that one costs more ??!?! for the same features, ultimately depends on what you want to do with the player other than just play DVD`s !

I have had a 336, ie silver for 4 weeks.
The Picture and soundstaging on 5.1 mixes is superb.
I had mine Multi region for £279 from Multiregion Magic (aka Paul Taylor) in peterborough.
Just the the IRONDuke, the Hitachi is not bad either.
The thing here is do you want to watch DVD Movies on a SONY or Play with all those fancy gadgets on the LG....
I would take the picture and sound. mainly cos My Athlon PC will do the rest for me quite happily.
