could any soap fans out there tell me:
is emmerdale filmed in a different film format now cause it seems somewhat different to me!

I don`t watch Emmerdale, but it`s probably FRV (Field Removed Video) which is used to create a dodgy "fake film effect" on some TV programmes. I think it looks absolutely awful, but some producers like it because they think it makes their programmes look slick and American.

The BBC tried this with Casualty a few years back, but they were forced to ditch it after viewers noticed the difference and complained. Maybe the same will happen here.

This programme shall forever remain Emmerdale Farm to me - although I don`t think I`ve ever seen one episode in my entire life.
