360 Data Migration without the CD?

enemyonpc (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 14th April 2010, 18:01

I need to transfer my profile and a stuff from a 20gb to a 120gb, i`ve borrowed the transfer kit but my 360 reads the disc as mixed media and won`t work. Can i burn the software or stick on usb flash drive like you can with dash updates?

Regards
Bryan

is the transfer kit you have borrowed an "official" M$ kit?

if it`s one of the chinese datel chipset copies, you have to do the transfer via
the pc, which is a real pain in the arse.

the lastest system update let you use the transfer kit without having a cd.
also last you use a 16gb usb flashdrive.

I tried it that way too mate but the 360 sees the 120gb as a usb device and wants to format 16gb of it as such.

I`ve gota 4gb USB flash drive that i could use but it mean deleteing then redownloading my dlc. I`d rather get the migration kit working and save on the bandwidth. I`ll keep it as a last resort though:D
