PSP 3000 Headphones Question - Answered!
Missus just bought one - and them tight barstewards at Sony have decided not to include any headphones in it - the booklet in it is not very much help as the connection seems to have another square connector next to the phono hole where the headphones plug in.
Normal headphones do not fit.
And so far all my usual web haunts do not have any - even the local GAME & Gamestation have none.
Any ideas?

Ordinary headphones just plug into the round hole. No good asking at dedicated game shops like those mentioned because they will only be staffed by staff that can play a game to death but have NO commonsense nor idea about the product they are selling you! yet the shop management will think they are the best people to employ :/
Bloody women :D
To be honest I just took her word for it - yep you are right normal headphones fit - I`ll get her coat!
I`ve had personal stereos (tape and cd players) that came with earphones which had a remote control on the cable.
the end of the earphone cable, was like a normal one, with an extra plug stuck on the side, the cd/tape player had a normal headphone sock with a little extra socket next to you, so if you used the supplied earphones it would plug into 2 sockets, sound through the normal socket/plug, the remote control functions through the other one I guess.
that meant you couldn`t use those supplied earphones with anything else, and if you used different earphones with the device, you could listen fine, but no use any remote control functions.
So Maybe it`s there in case you have some Sony earphones with remote control functionality?
