Wont be long now til the PS3 will be available on pre-order - whats the best high street / online store to order with? Anyone who ordered a Wii with Argos, Amazon etc what were your experiences like?

I didnt order a Wii so my experiences are based on the PS2, PSP and and Xbox 360 orders that I made.
PS2 and PSP I ordered from Game. They were okay but for the PSP they started the thing where they force a bundle on someone. I hate this.
With the 360 i tried Game again. They took my pre-order and merrily told me that I was number 165 in the queue. They failed to mention that they were only likely to get about 30 in at launch and that I would be waiting some time for a machine from them.
I went into Comet and was 4th on their pre-order list and strolled in on launch day and collected no problem.
Moral of the story is this. If you order from a game retailer they are likely to have a bigger pre-order demand. This is also the case for websites like Play.com and Amazon. If you find somewhere like Comet or Currys they seem to have (in my experience) a smaller demand as people tend to go to the specialist games retailers and not the out of town places.
Other good places are Asda and Tesco. They dont tend to run a pre-order system which means you need to turn up a few hours before they start selling them

Hope that helps
