Page 1 of PSP.....Can you use older firmware on the newer consoles?

Hello,

I used to own a Japanese PSP when they came out and i could revert my Firmware back to older versions........only for playing with emulators and trying out homebrew stuff ;)

I was thinking of buying buying a new UK version, i have not been keeping up with the PSP scene......is there anyway to change firmware on these newer consoles?

Hi Skirpy, I don`t think so. I think the latest firmware than can be reverted is 2.0, which by the way still doesn`t solve the porked wireless encryption.

Just bought one, it has firmware 2.60 on it......not much i can do now!

I had just found an auto version of the link you have given me, i have tried it out with a copy of GTA i rented from Blockbusters and it has now reverted back to 1.50 :)
