Page 1 of Half Life2 : Episode 1

Is anyone else getting this or had it unlocked yet? I have it preloaded and it did an update this morning but was still locked.

I have been trying Sin:Emergence but it has some pretty crappy AI (enemies run around like headless chickens) and while it is ok for a quick blast through I probably wont bother getting any more episodes of it.


EDIT: Just seen on the official website it will be unlocked at 18:00 our time, just about when I get home. :-)

Pre-loaded it a couple of days ago. Nearly forgot about that :)

Downloaded the demo of Darwinia as well. Not sure if its going to be fantastic and worth buying or a complete load of toss after 2 days play!

Unfortunately Steam has put me off of ever buying another Valve product. It was a total p*** take having to install a 4.5 gig game and then wait another twenty minutes or more for it to decrypt. It was the fekkin` DVD version FFS! Took almost 45 minutes to install the thing from beginning to end. I wasn`t even that blown away by HL2 anyway.

All these stupid `anti-piracy` measures are useless. The single player portion of HL2 was cracked just like every other game so the whole Steam thing just served to irritate.

I love HL2 and have recently been playing Deathmatch if anyone fancies a game..
Played this for over an hour (apparently only 4 hours long.. :( ) and still only have the Grav gun....

It is - esp when it`s powered up :)
Got other weapons now - shotgun and pistol...
Way too dark though - :( - trying to create tension like Doom? At least you can hold your flashlight at the same time as your weapon though. :)
Oh, and.... bloody antlions!!! Grrrr... - SPOILER:
(the bit with they`re everywhere in the multi-storey.....)

:-) Yes, excellent. Just a 6 month wait until the next one if I read correctly the other day.

If they had put as much effort into the AI in Sin, as they did in getting Alexis Sinclairs breasts to swing realistically, it would have been a much better game. As it is I probably wont finish it and wont be getting the next episode.

True, although they can transport to alien worlds and develop gravity guns but they still cant make a torch thats batteries last for more than 30 seconds.
