Is it worth getting an Eye Toy?

Ben Franklin (Reviewer) posted this on Thursday, 9th December 2004, 23:20

Thinking about getting an Eye Toy for the PS2, to have a bit of fun with over Xmas. Is it worth me getting one? :D

Oh my God, Bear is driving! How can that be?

Sure is, great for parties! Used mine loads and the kids just love to play on it.

NB. Make sure there is plenty of room to play though as we had a smashed lampshade at our old place and the little one smacked her chin on the tv unit getting real close. Have a good chrimbo with an EyeToy garaunteed or your money back. <in jest but nearly true. ;)

Is that the time? Give me a minute and I will be there when I finish on the comp!

Probably.......the original Play game for it was very limited....great fun for about a couple of hours.I`ve seen a couple of deals for the Sega Superstars pack though. It`s part of the bogof offer at Toysrus so it would effectively cost u 20 quid with the camera.
Alternatively I got mine at Littlewoods for 30 quid....using the 15 quid off for new customers.......thus getting it for 15 quid.
The Snowboarding game for it looks interesting (Antigrav) as it`s the first full game for it.Hopefully there will be more coming out soon.....if the game developers have the required imagination. There is also a new footie game where u can take a picture of yourself using the camera and put it onto a player........maybe the new EA 2006 games will start to use this feature?

I`m also taking the Eye-toy as an ice breaker at Chrimbo.......so good luck and have a great festive time..... :)

Cheers from Pete

The Sega Superstars with EyeToy is available from Game for £20 when bought with any other item too. We got it when we picked up my sons Playstation 2 last week.

Just looked on the Game site, it`s there, but showing as £35, I think it may have been on `deal of the week` when we got it.

I have an eyetoy with et:play2. Its a pain because it always has spots where it can`t detect any movement at all and the last time i touched it, it started randomly selecting things as it seemed to think my bedroom wall was moving.
