Does anyone have Action Replay for the X-Box

Superted (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 20th May 2004, 16:05

Hi Everyone,

My brother has just bought me Action Replay for the X-Box as a late birthday gift, only thing is, being a bit thick, we can`t understand how it works.

He thought it would be like the old AR, where you can get infinate energy, ammo etc but doesnt seem to work like that, from what we can work out all you can do is download completed games. Just wondered what the point of that was or if we are missing something.

One thing it does say though is it gives you free access to X-Box live, havnt looked into this any further yet as don`t have the live kit.

All the best

Ger.

Xbox action replay is just for game saves, Microsoft would not allow the cheat functions to be developed for the Xbox to stop people cheating on Live.

It does have some use though, as you can download a modified save for 007:Agent Under Fire, Splinter Cell, or Mechassault that boots your Xbox into Evolution X so you can effectively chip it for free!

Cheers Pistol, would that let me play multiregion DVD`s on it? suppose backing up games would be an advantage to as somehow managed to get a scratch on Simpson Hit and Run.

Any info would be great. Suppose I`ll have to chip it one day ;)

Thanks again

Ger.
