"Bloody PS2 has gone belly up. Only bought it in October for Xmas pressie for kids, got it chipped in November now it`s knackered and says "Disc Read Error" for every disc I put in. Kids were playing on it the they changed the disc.
So does anyone know a cheap UK repair firm seeing as I can`t go to Sony and get it fixed even though the chip probably has nothing to do with the fault."
Bugger it, it`s not the laser it`s an `la chip` or something that`s burned out inside. Apparently it`s very common in V9 PS2s. Can anyone shed any light on it `cos I know nothing about them. Apart from the fact I could have it fixed this week or it may take bloody forever while he`s waiting to get the chips in stock.
