nope many names are bollox

specially team names like Aston Villa / Dublin????

and Holland players are called Oranges...

there are ways around this but the squads arent as up to date as they should be and its very long winded transferring players from team to team...

still plays brilliantly though, seems a lot easier as single player now though

Disappointed in the names.....

I cant believe theyve gone BACKWARDS! Even if you change the team names, the commentary stills calls them Dublin, Lake District and so on.... so whats the point in changing them? At worst I thought I get to play as Chelsea, not Aguire or whatever the fcuk they`re called!!!

And, why on earth are all the dutch players Orange!?

Fantastic playability though - but I agree that it is a LOT easier!

Konami - PLEASE sort the names out!

I dont think you can... I created a few Chelsea players and when I tried to add them, they would only let me add them to the national team rather than the club!

So unless Im doing something wrong - you can only add players to national teams???

I tried going into the modify section for Chelsea. I changed the name of a player, but you can`t change their nationality! So whoever you add will end up playing for the default nationality! @rse!

Surely there MUST be a way of adding / trading players to the club teams? Anyone?

thats the problem...in j league we6 the transfer system is better

u cannot simply transfer the players in pes2

there is a way ill post it when i find it

very long winded though involves messing with nationalities and base copying players/making same player u had from scratch...stupid method

If you just try and modify a player from a team you can`t change his nationality. For example if I modify Zenden (or Mr Orange3453458970!) at Chelsea and call him Mr Pink then Mr Pink will also play for the Dutch team because it picks the club players for the national team!!!

Which is @rse!

Ive tried a base copy from scratch - but then you can only add them to a national team!!! So, er.... Konami whats the point ????

The only way (I think??) is to have 2 seperate save files on different memory cards and just modify everyone as you wish and when you want to play club teams use that memory card, and to play a normal game use a different memory card????

Unless someone has a better idea? `cos I can`t really be bothered to type loads of names out.....

this is ridiculous! i know it doesnt detract from the game itself, but its soooo annoying that the squads are so out of date. i just spent half an hour trying to figure out who all the club teams were. theres two im still not sure about....

I still dont know who half the teams are! Those South American ones, I havent a clue!

It is stupid , What would it have took just to at least have the club teams the right names? The commentary then refers to them as Lake District and Europort even when you change the names anyway, so whats the point there?!!!

Konami may have produced the perfect footy game, but the lack of names for clubs, and how out of date the players are, is just soooooooo ANNOYING!

Go to http://www.issland.com/e/index.shtml for the correct player/team names (go to PES2 Nationals for National sides, PES2 Teams for clubs). Obviously you`ll still have to input them manually but it gives you a much better idea of which teams are which, especially those dodgy Greek and South American sides.

More importantly, you can get rid of the `Oranges` from the Netherlands team...
