Looking for region 1 DVD`s in Italian

David K (Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 6th June 2002, 20:57

Hi there,

I hope this is in the right forum as this is my first post here. (BTW I like this site a lot)

I am in Canada and I would like to know where I can find popular kids DVD`s (Disney, Pixar, etc) that have Italian as one of the language selections. Obviously these would have to be region 1.

And advice or links would be much appreciated and I will try and return the favour if I can :-)

Hi David, welcome to the site.

I`m guessing that you mean spoken Italian dialogue rather than subtitles, right? I think region 1 is quite limited for this, and all you can do is search the popular DVD ecommerce sites to look for Italian listings.

Play for example, http://www.play.com has a search box where you can specify what region and language you`re looking for. This might be useful for what you`re looking for.

Hope this points you in the right direction. :-)

Cheers for your support!

Anil

Hello David,
Italian isn`t a language the region 1 market caters for (only English, French and Spanish) so if you want titles that are dubbed in Italian the only advice is really to get a multi-region player. I know this probably isn`t what you were hoping for but that`s the way it is.
