I`m fairly new to DVD also, so pardon my ignorance but, what is a `flipper`?
I imagine it is a disc which is two sided and has to be flipped, but does that mean the film is on two sides with a break in the middle, or is the film on one side, with any extras on the other side?
Cheers

There is a 2 disk special edition coming later this year. With the film on one DVD9 so no longer a flipper. UK is rumoured for Oct and Nov.
Seems to be definitely coming although date not yet fixed as saw on a US forum that the DVD producer has already recorderd the commentary track.
Also coming as a Warner SE later this year is Robin Hood Prince of Thieves although may need to buy non UK to get uncut
Yeah, a flipper is specifically a double sided disc with the film split across both sides, so you have to flip it over half way through. Not all double sided discs are flippers - there are such things as double sided discs with (for example) the whole film on one side and the extras on the other, or a widescreen version on one side and pan and scan on the other.
Thankfully flippers are largely a thing of the past, but there are still a few of them on the shelves (mostly pre-1999 releases).
