Page 1 of Where should I buy X-Files Season 5 from?

I want to buy X-Files Season 5 R1. Wheres the cheapest place to go? I`d also be intresed in a place that imports the R1 discs so you don`t have to pay tax.

Play.com sell it for £75.99 and you don`t have to pay import tax. They`ll refund the tax if you do get charged. According to their site, it`s due for release on 14/05/02

Movietyme have it for £69:99. I ordered Season 4 from them and it was sent UK recorded delivery so I guess they send from the US, repackage and send on to my house? Cant say for sure though so may not be worth risking import tax.

Noticed it was £66/67 at dvdboxoffice a coupla weeks ago, but again may be a risk.. not sure whether customs would get their mittens on it since it goes well above the limit.

you shouldn`t get any customs problems with DVDBO as they reship from within the EU (normally France)

Thanks I never knew that! I always assumed they shipped directly from Canada, but taking a closer look at the packaging, it definitely has come through France.

Just saw it for about £63 at PlayCentric, with the earlier ones just a tad cheaper, but I don`t know if they`re as customs friendly as dvdboxoffice. Otherwise I think that`s the best price I`ve seen it around for. Hope that helps!

DVD Mode have it for about £48.

Posts on some other forums say they can put down a customs friendly value on the package if you request them to do this.

I have ordered mine from them (even if it gets hit by customs it`s still cheaper than DVDBO and around the same price as PlayCentric)

Play no longer refund customs charges if stopped.
This is made clear on their site and when you order R1 from them.
Therefore for box sets use Movietyme or Futureent as both repost in UK so they pay and charges not you.
